We set out to bring the atmosphere of Apartamento in Estrela, by Aurora Arquitectos, into a contemporary Lisbon apartment renovation. The mood captured in the original photographs immediately resonated with us—subtle, luminous, and deeply lived-in. As a quick visual exercise, we explored light, materiality, and proportion, with a particular focus on capturing the natural light so characteristic of Lisbon’s traditional buildings. The result is a small series of images we call “Living in Lisbon.”
